Chef Jaume Guerra
Welcome! My name is Jaume Guerra, and I am a private chef and Ham Master Carver. 

Though I'm a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, where I learned all the techniques and recipes of classic French cuisine, my greatest pleasure and passion is sharing the food of my home country—Spain--with my clients. From paella to piernas de jamón—succulent legs of Spanish ham-- I bring the flavors of unforgettable foods to your special events.

My career has been a well-rounded one, in which I have had the opportunity to work with men and women who are masters of Spanish gastronomy. I began my career as a master carver at New York City's renowned Spanish fine foods emporium, Despaña, where I perfected my carving techniques. My work with Despaña also involved visits to Spain, where I took classes at 5j, one of the best Spanish ham brands. It was at Despaña where I also learned about cheeses, the variety of oils, and charcuterie.

I have also worked as a sales representative for Jamones Segovia, a position in which my knowledge about the curing and carving of hams was expanded and refined. In this position, I offered in-store carving presentations to staff and customers at New York City's top supermarkets, including Fairway.

Now, I am totally dedicated to offering my services as a private chef and master carver  to you. I am available for private parties and event planning, and I ensure 

that you and your guests or clients experience authentic Spanish cuisine—hams, cheeses, paellas, and more-- in the way it was meant to be enjoyed: prepared by the hands of someone who knows it intimately, and eaten in the company of friends.
